Calhoun County, AL – Nonprofit organizations across the country have an opportunity to secure funding this spring as Sparklight opens applications for its Spring 2026 Charitable Giving Fund. The application period runs from April 1 through April 30 and is available to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations within the company’s 24-state service area.
Each year, Sparklight distributes $250,000 in grants to support nonprofit initiatives that address critical community needs. The funding is focused on three primary areas: education and digital literacy, hunger relief and food insecurity, and community development.
Company officials say the goal of the program is to provide meaningful support to organizations working directly within their communities. According to Sparklight CEO Jim Holanda, nonprofits play a vital role in strengthening communities by addressing urgent needs and creating long-term opportunities for residents.
Since launching the Charitable Giving Fund in 2020, Sparklight has awarded more than $1.2 million in grants to over 275 nonprofit organizations. These funds have supported a wide range of programs, including digital literacy initiatives, food assistance efforts, housing support, and advocacy for children and seniors.
