Anniston, AL – Sparklight®, a leading broadband provider, has awarded a $5,000 grant to Community Enabler Developer through its Charitable Giving Fund, supporting the nonprofit’s mission to provide nutritious meals to residents in the Anniston area who face food insecurity.
Community Enabler Developer was one of 24 nonprofits across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint to receive a portion of over $125,000 in grants during the most recent award period. The Charitable Giving Fund allocates $250,000 annually, focusing on priority areas including education and digital literacy, food insecurity, and community development.
“We are very grateful to have caring companies like Sparklight help us extend our good work,” said Maudine Holloway, Executive Director of Community Enabler Developer. “Through Sparklight’s generous donation, we are able to provide many more meals to families who need our help. Thank you, Sparklight, for helping us light up the hearts and homes of the hungry, the sick, the homeless, families with little or no income, and individuals who just need a little help.”
The grant will enable Community Enabler Developer to expand its outreach and serve more local families in need, reinforcing Sparklight’s commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen the communities they serve.
In addition to food insecurity, this grant cycle saw Sparklight extending support to organizations focused on veterans’ outreach, elder care, afterschool programs, community safety, animal advocacy, and more.
“Sparklight is proud to support the nonprofits that make a meaningful difference in our community,” said Charlie Oakes, Sparklight Senior Regional Director Gulf Coast. “These organizations are essential to strengthening the cities and towns we serve, and we are grateful for the opportunity to amplify their efforts. Together, we can bring vital resources and support to those who need it most.”
Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for the Charitable Giving Fund’s spring 2025 grants between April 1-30, 2025. The fund continues Sparklight’s dedication to fostering community growth and addressing pressing issues such as food insecurity and education access.
