ANNISTON, AL — Families in Anniston will have the opportunity to engage in science and technology-focused learning later this month as the City of Anniston hosts the McWane STEM Camp Extravaganza.
Scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the free event will take place at the Anniston City Meeting Center, located at 1615 Noble Street. The program is presented in partnership with McWane, Acastemics, M&H Valve, and Tyler Union.
The event is designed to provide children with an interactive and educational experience centered around science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Attendees will participate in hands-on activities aimed at encouraging curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Organizers say the event is part of an ongoing effort to support youth development and expand access to educational resources within the community. By offering free admission, the program aims to reach a broad audience and provide opportunities for students of all backgrounds to explore STEM concepts in an engaging environment.
Registration is encouraged in advance through the City of Anniston’s Parks and Recreation website, though additional information is available for those interested in signing up in person.
The McWane STEM Camp Extravaganza is one of several community-focused initiatives intended to promote education and collaboration among local organizations, businesses, and families.
