The month of October will be packed full of teen events at the Oxford Public Library. Director, Amy Henderson has a created a full calender of events:

 

The Oxford Public Library is thrilled to announce programming directed at the teens in our community. Join us for Teentober all October long for some literary (whether scary or not) fun! The literary fun will feature a different theme each week. Please see the schedule below:

October 4-8 — Poetry

  • Spine Poetry – Use book spines to create poetry

  • Blackout Poetry – Use printed pages from books to create poetry

  • Poems for Your Pocket – Printed out poems rolled up for portable reading

  • Poetry Book Recommendations

October 11-15 – Fantasy

  • Silhouettes – Silhouettes of characters or symbols from different fantasy books will be posted. Can you guess which ones come from which book?

  • Bookflix – Features books based on popular streaming services’ movies and series.

    October 18-22 – Classics

  • Pickup lines – Can you guess which book it is based on the first line?

  • Classics and their spin offs – For Example: Pride and Prejudice and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

 

October 25-29 – Mystery/Thriller

    • Clue-based scavenger hunt

    • Mystery/Thriller book recommendations
