Tragic Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Anniston Man

Anniston, AL – In a incident that unfolded around 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, a single-vehicle crash has resulted in the untimely death of 24-year-old Juan G. Deleon, a resident of Anniston. The fatal accident occurred when the 2006 Chevrolet Express 2500, driven by Deleon, veered off the roadway, ultimately overturning in the process.

According to authorities, Deleon was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. As a consequence, he was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Tragically, Deleon was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding emergency personnel.

The incident took place on Eulaton Road, approximately five miles west of Anniston, situated within Calhoun County. The precise circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division.
