Clay County, AL – An incident unfolded on Monday, February 26, at approximately 4:28 p.m., when a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Munford resident. Christopher A. Gortney, 39, suffered fatal injuries as the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban he was driving left the roadway and overturned.
The crash site is located on Clay County 7 near Shady Grove Road, roughly six miles north of Goodwater in Clay County.
