After coaching junior high and JV volleyball, Noah to take over Weaver’s varsity program while continuing to coach girls’ basketball.

Amanda Noah got her head coaching breakthrough with Weaver’s girls’ basketball program, and she’ll add another sport with a net … volleyball.
Noah take over Weaver’s volleyball program as Eboney Lewis foscuses on moving into administration. Weaver High School announced Noah’s hiring via social media.
It’s a natural move for Noah, who has coached rising varsity players on the junior-high and junior-varsity levels while also coaching volleyball. She also played basketball and volleyball for Hokes Bluff High School and volleyball for Snead State Community College.
Noah said she and Lewis have discussed her taking over the volleyball program, and she’s also had conversations with Weaver principal Tracy Brazier.
“I was already doing JV, and I kinow the girls that are coming up and the parents,” Noah said. “Me and Mr. Brazier talked about it, and we thought it would be best for me to take it right now.
“I’m excited.”
Noah has coached basketball at Weaver for three years, including the past two years as the varsity head coach. She coached junior high in her first season.
She coached junior-high volleyball for one season and junior-varsity for two.
“We lost some seniors, but we’ve I’ll have my JV team moving up,” Noah said. “The team that I coached two years ago is the varsity team now. They’re very good.”
AHSAA realignment aligned Class A Weaver with three 4A teams moving down, including Ashville, Cleburne County and White Plains.
“Our area jumped a little higher this year,” Noah said. “I still think we can prove ourselves.”
