Anniston, AL – On July 23, 2025, the Calhoun County Master Gardeners will host their next installment of the 2025 Lunch and Learn series with a special presentation titled “Wildlife of Pelham Range.” The event will take place at the Cane Creek Community Garden Classroom, located at 77 Justice Avenue in Anniston.
The session will be led by Kyle Marable, an Extension Agent for Forestry, Wildlife, and Natural Resources. A Certified Wildlife Biologist® with over 15 years of experience, Marable specializes in longleaf pine ecosystems and upland game bird management. His presentation will introduce attendees to the diverse wildlife found on Pelham Range, their dietary habits, and ongoing wildlife management efforts in the area.
Designed for gardeners and nature enthusiasts alike, the Lunch and Learn program offers a relaxed setting for exploring environmental topics. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy an hour-long session with knowledgeable guest speakers.

September 24 – Anniston Fire Department Operations Chief Johnny Phelps and Fire Marshal Jason Brown will present on fire safety.
