Wellington Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Alabama 204

A single-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening, Jan. 13, has claimed the life of a Wellington man, according to authorities. Sujit Ganguly, 32, was fatally injured in the crash, which occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. Ganguly was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette when the vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 204 near Lloyds Road, approximately five miles east of Jacksonville in Calhoun County. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division are investigating the incident. No additional details were available as of Tuesday evening.
