WHITE PLAINS — Bruce Downey hopes to kick something in college, be it a football, a soccer ball or a kickout to the 3-point line.

For now, he’s doing the latter and more for White Plains’ basketball team.

Bryson Cheatwood and Will Graham led the way offensively with 18 and 17 points, respectively, and Downey brought his defensive and passing presence to key the Wildcats’ 46-33 victory over visiting Anniston on Monday.

The victory lifted White Plains to 14-7, and late-starting Anniston dropped to 7-5.
