Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Blue Line Foundation will host its third annual Touch-a-Truck event Saturday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anniston Regional Airport.
Admission to the family-friendly event is free.
Touch-a-Truck gives children and families an opportunity to see police, fire, emergency and other public safety vehicles and equipment up close. Attendees will also be able to meet local first responders, take photos and learn more about the agencies that serve communities throughout Calhoun County.
Participating agencies announced so far include the Oxford Police Department, Oxford Fire Department, Oxford Health Systems, Anniston Police Department, Anniston Fire Department, Jacksonville Police Department and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. Additional participating agencies and vehicles are expected to be announced as the event approaches.
Concessions will be available for purchase during the event, including hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and snow cones.
While admission is free, proceeds from concession sales will benefit the Calhoun County Blue Line Foundation. The nonprofit organization supports law enforcement agencies throughout Calhoun County by helping provide resources, equipment and training.
