Anniston, AL — A free STEM-focused educational event is scheduled to take place this spring at the Anniston City Meeting Center, offering children an opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through interactive activities.
The McWane STEM Camp will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Anniston City Meeting Center, located at 1615 Noble Street. The event is presented by McWane in partnership with Acastemics, M&H Valve Company, and Tyler Union, with support from the City of Anniston.
The program is designed to introduce students to STEM concepts through hands-on projects and engaging demonstrations. Organizers say the activities are intended to encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity while helping young participants learn about the practical applications of science and engineering.
The event will feature a variety of educational stations and activities aimed at making STEM subjects accessible and engaging for children. Participants will have the opportunity to build, experiment, and learn through guided projects led by organizers and volunteers.
The camp will take place in Room B of the Anniston City Meeting Center and is open to children interested in learning more about STEM-related topics. According to organizers, the goal of the event is to create a fun environment where students can explore new ideas and gain hands-on experience with science and technology concepts.
