Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston will host the annual Anniston Heritage Festival in celebration of Juneteenth on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Zinn Park, located at 101 W. 14th Street. The daylong event begins at 2:00 p.m. and will highlight African American culture through live music, performances, and community engagement.
Kicking off with a welcome and opening ceremony at 2:00 p.m., the festival will feature music throughout the afternoon and evening. DJs Chazz and Bigg Sweatt will provide entertainment starting at 3:00 p.m., with a live broadcast from WHOG 93.5 FM.
The musical lineup includes a range of R&B, Southern Soul, and gospel-inspired performances. Highlights include Robert HL’s “The Grind Experience” featuring neo-soul artist Ky Simon, Pooh & Phaze 2 Band with guest artists Mz. Aretta and Jay Marshall, and Dealove “The Songstress” with Kingdom Treble.
Evening performers will include Southern Soul artists Kami Cole, West Love, and Sir Charles. The festival’s headlining act is the legendary R&B group H-Town, scheduled to perform at 9:30 p.m.
City and county officials, along with event sponsors, will offer remarks around 5:30 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and tents, which are permitted in designated areas. However, personal grills, generators, pets, and unauthorized vehicles are not allowed on site.
The Anniston Heritage Festival serves as a community gathering to honor Juneteenth, the national observance commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, and to celebrate cultural heritage through music, unity, and fellowship.
