JACKSONVILLE, AL – James Newell has officially announced his candidacy for Place 3 on the Jacksonville City Council. A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Newell is seeking to bring his leadership and management experience to local government.
Newell, who attended Jacksonville Elementary School, Jacksonville High School, and Jacksonville State University, has spent much of his life in the community he hopes to serve. His professional background includes overseeing large departments, managing significant budgets, and leading teams through projects focused on process improvement and system efficiency.
“I am humbly asking for your support as I seek to represent our fair city as Place 3 City Councilman,” Newell stated in his announcement.
With a platform emphasizing organizational improvement and civic engagement, Newell joins the race with a focus on contributing to the continued development and growth of Jacksonville.
The municipal election is scheduled for later this year, with qualifying dates and additional candidate announcements expected in the coming weeks.
