City Manager Folks shared that some acts of service go above and beyond the call of duty. The City of Anniston is extremely proud to honor our Senior Code Enforcement Officer, Tana Bryant, at tonight’s council meeting. The life of a senior citizen was saved recently through Tana’s dedicated actions and inspiring devotion to our community. On or off the clock, Tana exemplifies what it means to have a servant’s heart. Thank you, Tana, for giving all that you have to our community and to those who call it home!

- Council Comments
- Councilwoman Harris wanted to note that Anniston has some of the best employees. She also noted an honor that the City of Anniston won recently.
- Councilman Roberts wanted to thank everyone for coming to the meeting and serving on boards. He also thanked city officials and employees. He asked for prayers for the city in the heat. He specifically mentioned the police department and just asked everyone to be kind.
- Councilman Jenkins wanted congratulate Tanya for her recognition and thank all the city employees and board members. He also applauded for CDA for there awarded mention by Councilwoman Harris.
- Councilwoman Smith seconded all the other statements, but also waned to mention speaking at the State of the Cities. She noted that public servants, give a lot and sacrifice a lot. She wanted to note that each of the people are human beings and need grace extended to them regardless of if they are elected, employees, or board members. These are hard jobs. She also prayed for peace during the upcoming hot times. She also mentioned the Heritage Festival coming up on June 24th.
