David Doggett Presents Easy-Prop Hydrangea Propagation

ANNISTON, AL — Gardeners interested in expanding their hydrangea collections will have an opportunity to learn a simple propagation method during an upcoming program at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County.

The library will host “David Doggett Presents: ‘Easy-Prop’ Hydrangea Propagation” on Tuesday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at the library, located at 108 E. 10th Street in Anniston.

According to the event description, the program will focus on an easy and reliable technique for growing hydrangeas from cuttings taken in early summer. Participants will learn how common, inexpensive supplies can be used to propagate hydrangeas in large numbers without the need for specialized equipment such as greenhouses, misting systems, or professional growing setups.

The presentation is designed for backyard gardeners who are interested in expanding their landscapes or sharing plants with others through propagation. Attendees will receive instruction on techniques that can help improve success rates when rooting hydrangea cuttings.

The event is open to the public, and participation may qualify for rewards through the library’s summer reading program.

For those interested in gardening, plant propagation, or learning new horticultural skills, the program offers an opportunity to gain practical knowledge from an experienced presenter while connecting with fellow gardening enthusiasts in the community.
