ANNISTON, AL — The Harlem Legends will bring two basketball-themed events to Anniston this fall, offering opportunities for youth development, community engagement and family entertainment.
The Shoot for the Stars Fall Break Basketball Camp is scheduled for October 13-16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the Anniston Aquatic and Fitness Center. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-14 of all skill levels and costs $140 per camper.
The four-day camp will include basketball instruction focused on shooting, dribbling, passing, teamwork and other fundamental skills, while also emphasizing confidence, perseverance and positive character development.
The Harlem Legends will return on Saturday, Nov. 7, for the Hoops & Health Celebrity Basketball Show, featuring the Harlem Legends taking on the Calhoun County All-Stars in a family-friendly exhibition game.
The event will include a basketball clinic beginning at noon, a VIP meet-and-greet at 1 p.m., and the celebrity basketball game at 2 p.m. Organizers say the Calhoun County All-Stars will include local educators, law enforcement officers, firefighters, coaches, business leaders, community leaders and elected officials.
In addition to the game, attendees can enjoy basketball entertainment, trick shots, opportunities to meet the players and activities designed for the entire family.
Both events will be held at the Anniston Aquatic and Fitness Center, located at 130 Summerall Gate Road in Anniston.
