JACKSONVILLE, AL — The Jacksonville Police Department has announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the burglary of Edwards Grocery and the subsequent high-speed pursuit that occurred in late March.
According to Jacksonville police, 27-year-old Antonio Miguel Hooper of Bessemer has been arrested and charged with Burglary Third Degree. Hooper is currently being held in the Calhoun County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
The arrest follows the earlier apprehension of another suspect connected to the case. Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
“This marks another important step in holding those responsible accountable,” said Jacksonville Police Chief Marcus Wood. “Our investigators continue working diligently, and we remain committed to identifying and apprehending all individuals involved.”
The Jacksonville Police Department said it will continue working with its law enforcement partners as the investigation progresses.
