JACKSONVILLE, AL — Jacksonville State University (JSU) has released its campus crime and activity log for June and July 2026 in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). The log provides a record of incidents reported to the university’s police department, including the type of offense, location, and current case status.
The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to maintain and publish crime logs, providing students, faculty, staff and the public with timely information about reported criminal activity on and around campus.
During June and July 2026, the campus crime log included seven reported incidents, with several resulting in arrests while others remain under investigation.
According to the report:
- July 19: A third-degree theft of property was reported at the Tennis Courts. The incident reportedly occurred between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. The case remains pending.
- July 14: One individual was arrested following a minor in possession/consumption of alcohol investigation. The case is closed.
- July 6: A third-degree burglary was reported at AmFirst Stadium. The case was closed, with one arrest made for another agency.
- June 24: A third-degree burglary was reported at the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house. The investigation remains pending.
- June 21: One individual was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident near Mountain Street and Pelham Road North. The case is closed.
- June 15: A report involving the use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia was investigated at The Edge. The case is closed.
- June 6: A harassment complaint was reported at The Edge. The investigation remains pending.
The university notes that the status of cases may change as investigations continue or additional information becomes available. The campus crime log reflects reports made to the Jacksonville State University Police Department and is intended to provide transparency regarding reported criminal activity on and around campus.
