Washington D.C. – U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, has filed qualifying paperwork to seek reelection in 2026, representing Alabama’s Third Congressional District.

Following the filing, Rogers released a statement thanking constituents for their continued support and acknowledging an early endorsement from Donald Trump. Rogers said he was grateful for the former president’s trust and support, noting his intention to continue advancing what he described as a “peace through strength” agenda.

In his statement, Rogers outlined several policy priorities he said would guide his work over the next two years. These included border security, protecting the unborn, expanding domestic energy production, and economic growth. He framed these goals as part of continuing initiatives begun during the Trump administration.

Rogers has represented Alabama’s Third District since 2003 and currently serves as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, which oversees matters related to national defense, military policy, and the Department of Defense. His reelection campaign comes as the 2026 election cycle begins to take shape for federal offices across the country.
